When I joined Medium I only wanted to write. I did not care about money or followers. I just wanted to share my thoughts and see if anyone cared.

My first few stories got almost no views. Ten readers, maybe less. Sometimes I wondered if anyone even saw my words. It felt like shouting in an empty room.

Still I kept going

The Moment That Changed Everything

One morning I opened my dashboard and saw $0.52 It was small but it meant something big. It showed that my writing had value. It told me that my effort mattered. That tiny number gave me the courage to keep going.

I set a new goal in my mind: “If I can make fifty cents, I can make fifty dollars. And one day, I will make one hundred.

The Effort Behind the Goal

Every week I wrote two or three stories. I chose topics that felt real to me like self improvement, personal lessons and online income.

I sent my stories to publications even when they rejected me. I learned how to write better titles and how to make my stories simple and honest.

Slowly my views grew. People started commenting and sharing. My earnings moved from a few dollars to twenty, then fifty.
