My First $100 on Medium

When I joined Medium I had no followers no audience and no idea how this platform worked. I just wanted to write. I wanted to share my thoughts and experiences.

My first few stories got almost no views. Some had less than ten readers. I felt invisible. I doubted myself. But somewhere inside I knew that quitting would not help. I decided to keep going no matter how small the results were.

The First Sign of Hope

One morning I opened my dashboard and saw $0.52 It was such a small amount but it made me smile. That number t old me something important. It told me that Medium actually pays writers and that my words have some value.

That day I made a promise to myself If I can make fifty cents I can make fifty dollars. And if I can make fifty dollars I can make one hundred.

That promise became my motivation.

The Process

After that I started writing with more focus. I chose topics that people love to read about like self improvement, productivity, and making money online.

I sent my stories to big publications so more readers could find them. Some got accepted some got rejected but I kept submitting.
